Born on the Texas coast and raised in the shadows of large industrial complexes, country music was always on the radio in Dad's old truck. The youngest of 3 boys, Matt usually had the choice of listening to both kinds of music: traditional country...and neo-traditional country.
In those early years of working cows, turning wrenches (ok, more like holding the flashlight), and helping out at youth rodeos, local radio provided the soundtrack that formed the majority of Matt's sound and style.
Fast forward to today: a lot of things have changed, and yet, a lot has stayed the same. You'll often find Matt behind his guitar and on some stage, picking out old tunes and crafting new ones that keep that traditional country sound out front.
